there were one hundred and ninety-one who were in the way

Day 191: I'm exhausted. We went through greeting cards tonight. It was more difficult than words can express.

Day191

Wednesday, March 15, 2006

out of a hundred eighty-five, not a soldier crossed the line

Day 185: I have several nicknames for Osiris: "'Siris," "Sireeees," "Dipsy Doodles," "Murphy," "Shit Missle," "Tubbs," "Chubbs," "My Precious Precious"... but my favorite is just "Mister Kitty." I love my cats.

Day185

Tuesday, March 14, 2006

the tower has nine rounds and a hundred eighty-four steps to the top

Day 184: I'm a workin' girl again this week, and I'm lovin' it. Finally, a good, solid reason to procrastinate! :^)

all said and done, she owed a hundred eighty-one dollar bar tab

Day 181: Mother and I went to lunch with Brianne and Josh today, then we went to the craft store (two, actually), and walked by the river.

Day181

a hundred and eighty pages later, we're looking at a double cluster in Perseus

Day 180: Karaoke Night! Pictured: Uncle Eddie, Uncle Glenn, and me. Not pictured: Aunt Wilma, Aunt Mary Edna, Christopher, and Father. I sang 5 songs, and did fairly well with most of them. Well, 3 of them, I think. :^)

Day180

this fabulous beast lived in France a hundred seventy-nine million years ago

Day 179: Kitty Time! I drove to Chattanooga in the pouring rain Thursday night just to see this little furry fellow. Okay, so there was more to it than that, but Smokey was a strong motivation. ha!

Day179

a hundred and seventy-eight dogs with a history of biting people

Day 178: Conan and I hung out today. He thwarted me... but was stylish whilst thwarting.

Day178

a hundred seventy-seven pages in two days as an elective in a subject I don't care about

Day 177: I got to go to Taco Tuesday. Pictured: me, Kathy, Phillip, and Darrell. Not pictured: Brian, Tommy, Amy, Leigh, Andrea, Bonnie, Lori, Punky, Kristen... oh, goodness... there was one more person I can't think of right now. I'm horrible. Oh, and photo by: Lattie.

Day177

Sunday, March 05, 2006

a hundred seventy-four sweaty pits have come before

Day 174: This picture was taken at 11:30 p.m... moments before my Yahtzee showdown with Michael. The loser had to drink Jumex Tamarind Nectar. I won the first game. Michael hem-hawed around drinking the tasty, tasty nectar, so I agreed to best 2 out of 3 games. Big mistake. I ended up losing the next 2 games. Dammit. ::drinking tamarind juice as we speak::

Day174

*** PS: I'll be out of town for the next week, so posts might be missed here and there. I'll be sure to take the pictures on time, though. ***

Thursday, March 02, 2006

a hundred seventy-two people were lost, and so few were saved

Day 172: Since we're low on groceries (again), I made Kool-Aid to satisfy my sweet tooth. The Berry Blast isn't doing much for me, but it does contrast nicely with my shirt.

Day172

Wednesday, March 01, 2006

"a hundred and seventy-one?" she questions, laughing at what she thinks may have been a miscounted stroke

Day 171: I played with the Celebrity face matcher thingy tonight, and I was endlessly amused. Apparently, I look (nothing) like Kate Winslett and Diana Rigg. My brother looks like Federico Garcia Lorca... or Courtney Love. And my dad is like Lee Harvey Oswald. ha! I didn't realize they could match with such stunning accuracy.

Day 168: Today, I spent most of the day driving (over 3 and 1/2 hours), cleaning rubber cement off presentation boards with an eraser (over 2 hours), and reading (around 1 hour or so). I'm pooped. PS: Brianne, my love, I hope you had an excellent early birthday celebration today. And to those who actually had birthdays today, happy birthday, too. :^)

Thursday, February 23, 2006

Wednesday, February 22, 2006

when I'm (one hundred and) sixty-four

Day 164: Today, I discovered the joy of Utz potato chips. They were voted #1 potato chip in 1981, and they still advertise this accolade on the bag. Nice. They were marked $.99 at the store, but the bag says $1.59. I'm going to have to check my receipt...

Day164

Sunday, February 19, 2006

quote for day one hundred sixty-one... you tried your best, and you failed miserably.

Day 161: I followed the instructions on the banana sticker. Also, I took this picture in the kitchen, and there was a nicely placed rainbow on my head (cast from the prism hanging in the window).

Day161

Saturday, February 18, 2006

one hundred sixty - being ten more than one hundred fifty

Day 160: Another glasses photo. Why is it that I can't resist taking an over-the-glasses dirty-librarian-look photo when I wear my glasses?

Day160

Wednesday, February 15, 2006

she's got legs like Astaire and a hundred fifty-seven IQ

Tuesday, February 14, 2006

one hundred and fifty-six cases with a follow-up period of 1 to 7 years

Day 156: I got to play in the snow again today. I'd like to thank the fine folks at Game Time for making such a sturdy swing. I love swingsets.

Sunday, February 12, 2006

a hundred and fifty-four dollars for the starving tortoise

Day 154: Listen, the snow is falling o'er town. Listen, the snow is falling everywhere. Between Empire State Building and between Trafalgar Square. Listen, the snow is falling o'er town. Listen, the snow is falling o'er town. Listen, the snow is falling everywhere. Between your bed and mine, between your head and my mind. Listen, the snow is falling o'er town. Between Tokyo and Paris, between London and Dallas, between your love and mine. Listen, the snow is falling everywhere. (Yoko Ono)

Wednesday, February 08, 2006

one hundred and fifty years after the war

Day150

Sunday, February 05, 2006

one hundred and forty-seven reasons not to role-play

Day 147: For the first time, I'm alone in the new apartment. I thought of doing a Macaulay Culkin Home Alone rip-off picture for today's post, but then I came to my senses.

Day147

Saturday, February 04, 2006

he Scotch-taped a hundred forty-six pigeons to

Day 146: We moved furniture around today, and I unpacked and relocated many, many boxes. My back hurts. I'm tired. But I am spiffy clean now.

Day146

Friday, February 03, 2006

one hundred and forty-five consecutive pancreaticoduodenectomies

Day 145: We have a mouse in the new apartment. I like mice. They're cute. They're soft. They run on little wheels in cages. But ironically, I'm scared to friggin' death of them when they're loose in my living quarters. So, I let O'Malley and Osiris go investigate inside the cabinet today to look for the mouse. Apparently, there's a HUGE, GAPING HOLE in the side of the cabinet, and O'Malley disappeared inside it. I was scared to death. He came out, but now, he keeps trying to get back into the cabinet. Silly cat. Here's a picture of me and Osiris watching O'Malley try to get into the cabinet.

Day145

Thursday, February 02, 2006

a hundred and forty-four enemy raiders

Day 144: Before embarking on our 4-hour quest for a new computer desk today, we took a drive down the street, and we found the water. There's no beach at this particular inlet, but there is a little walking trail. It's nice.

one hundred and forty-three pounds, four shillings, and three pence

Day 143: Maybe I'll actually have some time to relax tomorrow. Maybe.
