Day 111: My mother made me this fleece bathroom for Xmas. It has Peanuts characters all over it and extra-soft white fleecy stuff around the edges. And it's toasty warm. Makes me a happy girl.
I commemorated my 25th year of existence with a daily photo of me for 365 days. (Even if the posts weren't always on time, the pictures were... most of the time. Okay, so a few of them were late.)

Day 94:
We had Xmas tonight with Michael's family, and I got some spiffy new monkey apparel. If I wasn't sick, I'd be jumping up and down and squeaking. But, instead, I'm sitting here drinking Alka-Seltzer. Note the package of it in my right hand and the mug of water behind me. This was moments before the "plop, plop, fizz, fizz," and I'm still waiting for the "oh, what a relief it is" part.

Day 92: I finished all 4 pillow tops for the pillows I'm making my father-in-law Joe for Xmas. Whew! Now, I just have to make them into actual pillows... (I took this picture by putting the camera over the edge of one of the blades on my ceiling fan, so it's a little grainy. The dust I stirred up is upsetting my sinuses. :^P)

Day 69: The left shoulder devil (monkey) and the right shoulder angel (Yoda) had a discussion as to what I should name this post. Yoda: "There are plenty of song lyrics out there with the number '69' used in tasteful reference to the year 1969. Use one of those." Monkey: "Oh, c'mon now. You can't pass up an opportunity to use a Monty Python quote!" As you can see, the monkey won.

...fifty-four, fifty-eight, sixty-four, sixty-eight...
Day 68: I caught part of a special presentation tonight on NBC. It was about John Lennon's death, and they mentioned the 25th anniversary memorial at Strawberry Fields in Central Park that I'm going to next month. Since the summer of 1997, I've promised myself that I would go to this year's memorial. I'm sure it will be sad, but I will enjoy the music and being with other fans. It's going to make me an immensely happy girl to be there. (Yes, the numbers in the title are song lyrics. It's a reference from Björk's "107 Steps" from Dancer in the Dark, my very favorite bawl-your-eyes-out movie.)
